Emma Mae the daughter of the late Emma Rogers Hamilton slipped away early on November 9 in Carolinas Hospital System in Mullins, South Carolina.
Emma Mae was united in marriage to the late James Oliver (Jimmy) Edwards and this union was blessed with eight children, two preceded her in death, James and Anthony Edwards.
Emma Mae attended the public school of Dillon County. She was converted at an early age and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she served as a faithful member of the Senior Choir.
She leaves to mourn four daughters: Annie M. Bethea of Jamica, NY, Sadie (TJ) McDuffie of Mullins, SC, Vivian (Billy) Thompson of Marion, SC, Ann English of the home; two sons: Frank (Bessie) Edwards of Mullins, SC, Robert Glenn (Jackie) Edwards of Fork, SC; one daughter-in-law: Katherline Edwards of Syracuse, NY; one sister: Hattie Legette of Marion, SC; twenty-one grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; one brother-in-law; five sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. One special friend: R.P. Lewis; one god-daughter: Tamara Nance-Bethea.
