Tyisha Thomas Obituary

Tyisha Denise Thomas “Lady Bug”, the daughter of the late Marshall Thomas, Jr. and Susan Jones Thomas, was born on May 16, 1998 in Dillon County, South Carolina. She was called to rest in the early morning on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2023 at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. 

    Tyisha was educated in the public schools of Lake View, South Carolina and graduated from Lake View High School in 2018. She joined Shady Grove Baptist Church. 

    Tyisha was a very quiet, humble young lady. She loved her family and her faithful pet, her dog Rocky. Tyisha had perfect attendance from 9 through 12 grade. She loved basketball and karate in which she worked hard to obtain her black belt.

    Tyisha was preceded in death by her father Marshall Thomas, Jr.

    Leaving to cherish loving memories are her mother: Susan Jones Thomas; her sisters: Lakeshia Rebecca Thomas and Myesha Mae Thomas (Lorenzo Clark); her niece: Amiyah Clark; her grandparents, who was her pride and joy, reared her since birth: Randolph Jones “PaPa” and Nina Faye Jones “Mom”; her paternal grandparents: Marshall Thomas, Sr. and Debbie of Patterson, NJ; her aunt: Neta Frances Carmichael; her uncle: Ferry Thomas-Renea; her very, very close friend: Fae Burns of Dillon, SC; her godmothers: Jeneslie Williams of Dillon, SC and Anna Frances Johnson; her godfathers: Benjamin Jones and Master Wayne Green, her karate instructor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
