Selma Billups Obituary

~ The Obituary ~

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021 God called our mother, Selma Billups, home. His angel touched her and asked, “Are you ready to go home?” Mom said, “Yes, I am”.

Born April 4, 1928 to Clarence and Emma Robinson, the younger of two children, Selmaenjoyed growing up with relatives and friends.

After school, Mom worked and lived in New York for a while. But the city life was not for her. On her return, she met John Billups and they married in 1945. The two were married for 45 years. John passed on February 29, 1998. She would not leave “her woods” to live with her children.

Selma has left behind to remember her: Myron (Reggie) Johnson of Virginia and Michael (Minnie) Billups; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Moma, we will be fine in a little while

But you are attending a “Family Reunion”

In heaven. Oh, the tears of joy.

Myron and Michael
