Sarah Jane Brown

     Sarah Jane Brown, daughter of the late Gus and Catherine Myers Wheeler was born on February 2, 1930 in Mayesville, South Carolina. She departed this earthly life on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina.

     She attended the public schools of Mayesville, South Carolina. She was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church, Mullins, South Carolina.

     She was blessed with six children. She was the epitome of a loving mother and the matriarch of her family.

     Sarah Jane was a faithful employee of SoPacko, Mullins, South Carolina.

     Sarah Jane was preceded in death by her mother, father, and one son, Clifton Gurley.

     Sarah Jane leaves to cherish the fondest memories; five children: Shirley Ann Gurley of Florence, SC, Willa Deen Hayes of Mullins, SC, Gwendolyn Brown, Cynthia Brown and stepson: David Earl Gilmore all of Gastonia, NC; five grandchildren: Shnette (Yashen) Damon, Ronnie A. Hayes, Jr., Quinton Brown, Latron Vaughn, Dakota Blakeney, Pamela Howard, Jasmon Rollinson, April Gilmore and Odavis Gilmore; seven great grandchildren: special friends: Irene Rogers, Laura Wortham, Lillie Williams, Harriet Williams and Elouise Lewis and many loving relatives, friends and church family.
