~ The Obituary ~
As of July 22, 2021, Mrs. Pirley Mae Reaves Stovall, our dear sister, aunt, friend, wife, has gone on to her next experience.
Born October 24, 1942 to the late Resper and Sadie Maize Reaves, Pirl, as we all lovingly referred to her, attended school in Mullins, South Carolina and furthered her education while residing in Miami, Florida, where she worked several years with a family named Largo. She would often share funny tidbits of her time spent with the Largo children.
Pirl went on to work with Publix Supermarket where after many years she retired. She often voiced how she wished she was still working there. Pirl just enjoyed working another enjoyment of hers was hosting gatherings for friends and family…where she would sing for her audience (and she could really sing).
Pirl was passionate too about her bible studies and Christian Science Bible Lessons.
Pirl leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Oliver (AKA Sonny) Storall; four sisters: Nora Styles of Dillon, SC; Resena Reaves of Darlington, SC; Sandra Wheeler of Mullins, SC; and Mary London of Myrtle Beach, SC and an outstanding nephew in Roger Rich of Mullins, SC as well as a host of other nephews and nieces all loved and loving. Five brothers preceded her departure; Seymour Reaves, Willie Alvin Reaves, Johnny Roy Reaves, James Claude Reaves and Leverne Reaves as well as three sisters; Theda Rich, Lillian Drakeford and Juanita Legette. Even so, Pirley always knew that there is no separation and no division between God and man.
I know no life divided, O Lord of Life, from Thee;
In thee is Life provided for all mankind and me;
I know no death, O Father because I live in Thee;
Thy Life it is that frees us from death eternally.
I fear no tribulation, since whatso’er it be,
It makes no separation between my Lord and Me.
Adopted from hymn 135 of the Christian Science Hymnal
