Minnie Pearl Jackson

     Minnie Pearl Norman Jackson was born January 1, 1948 to the late Lula Graves Norman and Willie Norman in Marion County South Carolina. She was raised by her grandmother, the late Hessie Graves. She departed her life on October 16, 2015 at her home.

 

     She was married to the late Herman Jackson of Conway, South Carolina. Pearl attended Bethel High School in Britton’s Neck, South Carolina.

 

     Job descriptions include Russell Stover’s and babysitting for many working mothers. For many people in the Britton’s Neck Community, she was a cab driver. She was like an ever ready battery, never stopped going until her death.

 

     She was a member of the Senior Connection at Bethel AME Church. Pearl was a lifetime member of Red Hill Baptist Church and gave her commitment to God years ago. She was a devoted active Bible Study member and did whatever she could for the church. She loved dearly, and lived a life that was pleasing in God’s sight.

 

     Pearl leaves to cherish loving memories, a devoted sister: Bobbie Jean Norman (John) Eaddy of Johnsonville, SC; special nieces and nephews that was raised in the home: Tasha Norman (Wayne) Bellamy, Ricky (Sheril) Norman both of Conway, SC; Ricky Norman, Jr. and Ronnesha Norman of Conway, SC; two uncles she loved dearly: Hezekiah Norman of Marion, SC and Frank (Margaret) Norman of Britton’s Neck, SC; two aunts: Esther M. Willis of Britton’s Neck, SC and Lois B. Moore of Gresham, SC; two goddaughters: Ronita Hemingway and Charlene Graves of Britton’s Neck, SC; a godson: Joseph (Cynthia) Woodberry of Britton’s Neck, SC; two step children: Herman Jackson, Jr. and Vivian Scott of Conway, SC; Pearl made a significant impact on several individuals, her sisters/cousins: Julia B. Graves, Genevia “Sister” Hemingway, Marie “Rie” Williams all of Britton’s Neck, SC, Varis (Leo) Woodberry of Florence, SC; brothers/cousins: Joseph K. (Diane) Graves of Philadelphia, PA; Jean Moore Gause, Darlene (Levern) Woodberry, Jean Scott Graves, Dorothy Jean Woodberry, Isakiah Davis, Lavoris Hemingway and other cousins and friends she loved that touched her heart. We will miss our “Fun Box”. She will forever remain in our hearts. We love you! The Family.
