McArthur Platt Obituary

~ The Obituary ~

    McArthur Platt was born in Mullins, South Carolina on April 12, 1942 to Willie and Golda Richardson Platt. He was the fifth of eight children.

    Mc attended Palmetto School in Mullins, South Carolina where he was a bus driver.

    After leaving Mullins, he relocated to Brooklyn, New York where he worked as a cook and drove buses for the Carey Bus Company.

    Mc married the love of his life, Gracie. To this union, three children were born: Timothy, Monique and Shawn. He was the proud and loving granddad of Bianca, Dawayne, Shauntavia, Da’Shawn and Taleek; six great-grandchildren, all of whom he was proud of and the joy of his life; one brother: Richard Platt of Dillon, SC; two daughters-in-law: Vivian and Tarsha Platt both of New York; four brothers-in-law: Lecon (Linda) Roberts of Mullins, SC, Casey Williamson of Bronx, New York, David Legette of Conway, SC and Warren Legette of Monroe, NC; two sisters-in-law: Elaine Woodberry and Anita (Clinton) Campbell both of Mullins, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
