Lowell Anthony Simms, son of the late Edward Moses Simms and Sweetie Earnestine Stackhouse Simms, was born on April 1, 1956 and departed this life on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Lowell attended Horry County Schools and graduated from Floyds High School in 1974. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. Later, he worked at the University of South Carolina in the Electrical Department.
Lowell joined Hill Chapel Baptist Church at an early age.
Lowell touched the lives of many with his generosity, compassion, and ability to fix and construct things. Therefore, he was the handy man for his family and many of the people in the community.
Lowell, also called Anthony, Squeak, Squeaky, Dad, Uncle, Brother, leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and strength. He leaves to cherish his memory, three children: KeishaSimms and Moses Simms of Columbia, SC and Tequilla Simms of Hawaii; four sisters: Trumella Fullard of Washington, DC, Ovella Gerald and Veata Jeffries of Nichols, SC, and Marjorie Munson of Oxon Hill, MD. He also leaves two aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
