Linda Leonard

     Linda (Pressley) Leonard lost her epic battle with cancer and peacefully passed on Friday, morning, July 29, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

     Linda was born on January 24, 1950 to Sam and Maebelle Pressley of Mullins, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather: Eddie T. Weston, her sister: Maxine Staggers and three brothers: Samuel, Donald and Curtis Pressley.

     Linda was an educator who taught school in Loris, South Carolina School System and retired after 28 years in the Mullins School Systems. She attended Durham Business School, Durham, North Carolina and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Francis Marion College, Florence, South Carolina.

     She was a lifetime member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and attended service every Sunday until her health would not permit her to do so.

     Linda was a cook like no other. You could stop by her house day or night and knew you were welcome to get a generous meal there and more to take home.

     Linda was a past member of Effingham Order of Eastern Stars #326, Mullins, South Carolina. She was also a Charter Member of AKA Chapter, Marion, South Carolina.

     Linda is survived by her husband, Mcarthur Leonard of Mullins, SC; her only child, daughter: Vanessa Leonard of Rock Hill, SC; two step-children: Terrie Leonard of Florence, SC and Dwike Leonard of Atlanta, GA; two sisters: Mary (Haywood) Reid of Junction City, KS and Claretta Gore of Nichols, SC; two sisters-in-law: Alice Pressley of Mullins, SC and Mildred Leonard of St. James, SC; a brother-in-law: Theodore Leonard of Florence, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
