Sister Lillie Mae Rogers-Thomas was born on June 5, 1944, in Mullins, South Carolina to the late Dollen and Ella Mae Lucky-Rogers.
Ms. Thomas was a faithful servant of God,being baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost at an early age. She was a member of Progressive Church under the leadership of Pastor Elder Roy Brockington.
Ms. Thomas worked as a sharecropper and seamstress at both Anvil Knitwear, formerly known as BVD and Heritage Sportswear.
Ms. Thomas enjoyed being a mother, proud grandmother and avid churchgoer. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking care of others. She will be greatly missed for her wisdom and devoted spirit.
Ms. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband, the late Luther (Albert) Thomas, Jr. of Mullins, SC and her brother the late Edward Rogers of Delray Beach, FL.
She leaves behind one sister: Mae T. Lewis of Mullins, SC; four children: Johnny Thomas of Mullins, SC; Albert Thomas, Jr. of Mullins, SC; Frankie (Robin) Thomas of Portsmouth, VA; Mary Thomas-Bethea of Mullins, SC; ten grandchildren: John Thomas, Sydney Nelson, Tamika Thomas, Stacy Thomas, LanaeHannah, Ashley Thomas, Jatavia Bethea, Felicia Bethea, Raheem Hannah, JasamineBethea; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four special friends of the family; Deloris Edwards, Eloise Duncan, Ann Thomas and Bobby Bethea; one nephew: L.C. Lewis, other relatives, in-laws and friends.
