Lillie Johnson

     Lillie B. Johnson, the daughter of the late Luther Armstrong “Bud” Nance and Fannie Buie Nance, was born on August 8, 1935 in Dillon County, South Carolina. Lillie was called to eternal rest in the early morning hours of April 19, 2015 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

     Lillie was educated in the public schools of Lake View, SC and graduated from Columbus High School in 1953. She completed some higher education studies at Francis Marion College.

     Lillie joined Union African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age. She was a member of the Katie F. Nance Missionary Society, Lay Organization and United Christian Sisterhood.

     Lillie has worked in many different capacities over the years including manufacturing, education, culinary and retail. The most important “job” to Lillie was her family. She loved cooking for and taking care of her family – especially her grandchildren.

     Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Fannie Nance; three brothers: James S. Nance, Oscar (QC) Nance, John S. Nance and one sister: Gerlan Nance.

     Lillie leaves to cherish loving memories her children: two daughters: Fannie Worley of Dillon, SC and Angela Worley of Lake View, SC  and one son Luther Worley of Lake View, SC; three grandchildren: Maurice Worley of Richmond, VA, Elizabeth Marie (Maze) Little of Florence, SC and Tyrone Worley of Charlotte, NC; two great grandchildren: Maze Brayden Little, III and Elizabeth Madison Little of Florence, SC; three sisters-in-law: Mary Kate McNeil of Lake View, SC, Sylvia Kate of New Jersey and Cleopatra Nance of Lake View, SC ; a very special cousin: Elizabeth Buie Foxworth; two close cousins: Jasper (Ruthabell) Nance of Lake View, SC  and William Cornie Nance of Nichols, SC  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
