Jefferie Eugene Moses was born on March 20, 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Philip W. Moses, Sr. and Emily H. Moses.
At an early age he became a member of Union A.M.E. Church. Jefferiegraduated from Lake View High School class of 1977. He went on to attend John C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. After John C. Smith University, he joined the United States Marine Corp. Upon serving his time in the military, he moved to Columbia, South Carolina. He was known for his love of his hometown Lake View and his music. When he came home you could always find his favorite musician Gil Scott-Heron playing and contagious laughter.
On June 10, 2019, God called for his Angel to rest. He is survived by his brother Philip W. (Emma) Moses, II of Accokeek, MD; his aunts: Ms. Vivian Burke of Winston Salem, NC, Ms. Brenda Moses of Florence, SC and Ms. Lilie Ree Moses of Columbia, SC; his uncle: Mr. Frank (Gladys) Moses of Florence, SC ; niece: Nia Moses; nephews: Chantago Gilchrist, Philip Moses, III, and numerous close cousins and friends.
