Gracie Davis

~ The Obituary ~

    Gracie was born to the late James and Christine McClain, the eleventh child, on March 31, 1955, in Horry County, South Carolina. She was educated through the Marion County School System, Mullins High School Class of 1975.

    Gracie joined Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church, Mullins, South Carolina. Gracie married the late James Wallace Davis and to this union three children were born: Christina Davis, Willie James Davis of Mullins, SC and Walter Quincy Davis of Asheville, NC.

    Preceding her in death; one grandson: James Jerome Davis and five brothers.

    She leaves to cherish the memories of her life, seven grandchildren: Quintaisia Davis, Anareya Lee, Quincy Sterlin Davis, Shanique Davis, Darion Davis, Quaviyon Davis and Quvadus Baily; two sisters: Edna Smith and Elizabeth Swinton of Mullins, SC; five brothers: Willie (Winnie) McClain, Roosevelt (Leola) McClain, Albert (Betty) McClain and Andrew McClain all of Mullins, SC and Charles McClain of Asheville, NC; sisters-in-law: Ellen Carter, Vivian Ann Gray, Sharon Davis of Mullins, SC and Retha Mae Page of NJ; one brother-in-law: Willie L. (Midge) Davis of Raleigh, NC and a special friend: John C. Grant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
