George Wingate

     George was born August 3, 1939 to the late Haywood, Sr. and Mary Wingate. He departed this life on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at his home.

     George Robert Wingate was an Engineer with Mullins Leaf Tobacco Company for over 40 years. He traveled many years on his job.

     His late wife Colieen Wingate; one son: James Wingate; and three brothers precede him in death.

     He leaves to cherish his loving memory his daughter of the home, Kay Nichols and god daughter: Jamesha Davis; two sisters: Mattie Miller of Hamilton, NJ, Mary Coleman of Baltimore, MD; one brother: Haywood (Annie) Wingate of Hampton, VA; one granddaughter: Tina Nichols of Marion, SC; three grandsons of Mullins, SC; two aunts: Sarah M. Wingate of Mullins, and Laura Wormley, of Trenton, NJ; a godson: James Tillman; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
