Flora B. Brown

~ The Obituary ~

    Mrs. Flora Bell Hughes Browndaughter of the late George Hughes and Minnie Bell Hughes Legette was born on July 1, 1935 in Marion County, South Carolina. From an early age she was raised by her mother and Hayward Legette, Sr.

     Florawas united in Holy Matrimony to the late Henry Brown. This union was blessed with six children; two who also preceded her in death, William Earl Brown and Sherby Jean Brown. She was preceded in death by four siblings: Rebecca Hughes Gilchrist, Marie Legette, Thomas Legette and Hayward Legette, Jr.

    She quietly departed for her heavenly home on April 21, 2019. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter: Henrietta Brown of the home; three sons: Rodney Brown (Margaret), Steven Brown and Danny Brown (Bertha) all of Mullins, SC; thirty-two grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren; two brothers: Malachi Legette (Joann) of Mullins, SC and Hesicial Legette of the home; five sisters-in-law: Marcella Brown of Nichols, SC, Betty Jo Legette of Mullins, SC, Irene Brown of Lake View, SC, Margie Brown and Grace Brown both of New York. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
