Ernestine Oliver Obituary

~ The Obituary ~

    Mrs. Ernestine Oliver, daughter of the late William and Ida Blakley was born February 15, 1951 in Dillon, South Carolina. She quietly departed this earthly life, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Seacoast Hospital in Little River, South Carolina.

    At an early age Ernestine professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined High Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member. At High Hill, she served faithfully as the Youth Events Coordinator, Youth Ushers’ President, Hospitality Ministry, Church Anniversary Committee, Special Events Committee, the Beautification and care of the church and wherever and whenever she was needed. She had a caring heart for children and was the community mom to many. Also, she had a love for Dominoes with her friends.

    She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Oliver and shared over 30 years of Love and Devotion.

    Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her three children: Gary (Dareen) Blakley, Jamey Gillard and Cotina Gillard of Nichols, SC; three grandchildren that she dedicatedly cared for in her home: ShamalGillard of Nichols, SC, Qua’Dasia Gillard of Killeen, TX and Sha’Quan Gillard of Germany; four Godchildren that she loyally took care of: Terrell Dixon, Derrick Phillips, ShantaviaHilliard and Jarious Campbell; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-children; two sisters: Louann (Joe) Green of Charlotte, NC and Rosa Moore of Nichols, SC; three brothers: Melvin (Joyce) Blakley, Tommy Blakley and Robert (Pat) Blakley; seven sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; three special friends: Doretha McCallum, Bertha Williams and James Alderman, Jr.; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
