Life Reflections

Eleanor Ruth Owens, 67, peacefully stepped into eternity on August 22, 2024, at the Medical Universary of South Carolina, Marion, SC.

Eleanor was born and reared in Mullins, SC and attended its public schools.  At an early age, she united with the Ellen Chapel Holiness Church, Mullins, SC

She loved people and always had a conversation for you. She could sometimes be strong-willed but was humorous and full of laughter as she dealt with others.  While attending the Saint Paul Baptist Church Adult Day Care, she made many friends and eagerly participated in all activities.  She loved to walk and many often saw her taking strolls down Main Street.

Eleanor was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her three sons were most dear to her heart, and she beamed with joy when she talked about them, and seemed happiest when she was with them. 

She is pre-deceased by her mother, Ms. Vivian Constant, and her husband, Mr. Charles Owens, Sr. 

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories, three sons, Mr. Charles Owens, Jr. of Mullins, SC, Mr. Marcus Owens of Renton, Washington and Mr. Paul Owens of Charlotte, NC.  Two aunts: Claudia (William) Moody, and Roslyn Woodberry, both of Mullins, SC . Five grandchildren: Julian Owens, Benjamin Owens, Jacobi Owens, Olivia Owens and Chloe Owens .  Clients and staff of the Saint Paul Adult Daycare and a host of cousins, neighbors and friends.
