Douglas Emanuel, Sr.
Douglas Emanuel, Sr. was the son of the late Violettie and Tom Emanuel. He was born December 30, 1943 in Marion County. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2023 after a brief illness.
Douglas received his education in the public schools of Marion County. He worked several jobs in Marion and Dillon Counties until retirement age.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings: Alberta Crawford, JezeBell McCall, Essie Cummings, Christine Thomas and Ervin Emanuel.
To share his memories are one son: Douglas Emanuel, Jr. (Debra) of Marion, SC; honorary daughter: Jerry Fryson; two sisters: Katie Emanuel of Baltimore, MD and Agnes Monroe of New York; one brother: Roscoe Emanuel of Marion, SC; cherished nephew: Ronald Thomas of Baltimore, MD; first cousin: Mary Lester of Marion and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
