“The Life and Times of Mr. Bruce McNeil”

Mr. Bruce McNeil was born to the late Eddie C. McNeil and the late Alberta McNeil on July 22, 1946. He departed this earthly life on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and daughter Shelley Ann McNeil. 

Mr. Bruce McNeil received his formal education at Columbus High School in Lake View, South Carolina. He was a proud classmate of the 1966 graduating class. After graduating from high school, Bruce joined the United States Reserves. During his life’s journey he lived in Newark, New Jersey, Bronx, New York, and Columbia, South Carolina. In 2006 he retired and moved home to Lake View, South Carolina.

Mr. Bruce McNeil accepted Christ at a very early age and became a member of Union AME Church. He was a member of the Trustee Board, Usher Board, and Male Chorus. He knew and loved the Lord. So, he visited many surrounding churches in the Lake View community.

Mr. Bruce McNeil leaves to cherish fond memories: his loving and devoted wife Patrica Odum McNeil - seven sons Bruce (Lisa), Chris (Geri Lynn), Keith, Drapier (Skitshuri), Terrance, Raekwon, and Caleb - one daughter Nyema (Antione) McDaniel – five brothers Billy Ray, Jeffrey, Joseph, Michael, and Thomas – one sister Hearly Mae White -  sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
