Betty Campbell Obituary

                                       Life Reflections
Ms. Betty L. Campbell was born on January 3, 1947
in Marion, SC to the late Thad and Donnie Bell Abram Campbell, and was later raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Elouise and James Rembert Reaves. Betty peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2021.


Betty was a long-standing member of Greater Fork Chapel A.M.E. Church in Marion, S.C. where she faithfully served in many capacities. Her most beloved position was church secretary. Growing up, she attended Marion County public schools. She moved to New York as a young adult and worked at Children’s World Day Care Center in Brooklyn, NY until she returned home
to Mullins, SC in 1982. She was employed with the Florence County Department of Social Services as an Administrative Specialist Clerical Supervisor and retired in 2011. After retiring, she worked part-time at Devotion Gardens and Larry Smith-Cooper Funeral Home as a bookkeeper. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, fishing, and playing card games.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley M. Cheeks and nephew, Frank Cheeks.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two children, daughter Trivia (Brian) Cole of Riverview, FL and son, Karriem Brown of Frederick, MD; one brother, Rembert (Rachel) Reaves of Round O, SC; one adopted brother, James (Ida) Reaves of Columbia, SC; one adopted sister, Janie Williamson of Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren, Rachanda Carter of Alexandria, VA, Dominique (Alicia) Cole of Austin, TX, Briana Cole and Benjamin Cole
II of Riverview, FL; two great grandchildren, Anthony Buchanan Jr. and Caden Cole; special adopted son, Donnie Washington; special cousin Regina Bristow; and a host of other relatives and friends.
