                 ~ The Obituary ~

    Bennie Anderson, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Columbia, SC.

    Bennie was born on October 24, 1954 in Mullins, South Carolina to Larry and Margret Canty. He was a 1972 graduate of Mullins High School. Bennie proudly served our country as a member of the Marine Corps for four years. Later he returned home and married the love of his life Deloris Crawford Anderson. To this union two children were born, Marquita Anderson and Bennie Anderson, Jr. 

    Bennie was a hard worker and anything he put his mind to he would do it. He also loved to travel with family and friends. He worked as a Security Guard and at Perdue Farms for numerous years. After he retired he decided to go back to school for welding. After school he decided he wanted to go back to work. He worked at SoPakco in Mullins, South Carolina for 2 years until his health declined.

    Bennie was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Mullins, South Carolina, a member of the DAV and a proud member of the Blue Fire Motorcycle Club.

   He was preceded in death by his father Larry Canty, his only son Bennie Anderson, Jr. and his grandmother Bessie Coleman.

    Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Deloris Anderson; daughter: Marquita Anderson; two grandchildren: LaShaun Hughes and ShanitiaMullins; two sisters: Cheryl (Sinclair) Davis of Britton’s Neck, SC and Debbie Moore of Wilmington, NC; two brothers: Norwood (Myra) Canty of Marion, SC, Myron (Annette) Canty of Marion, SC; mother-n-law: Pearl Crawford; sister-in-law: Beverly Crawford and two brothers-in-law: Larry Crawford and Tommy Milo, Sr. all of Florence, SC and two special friends, Tyrone and Glenda Samuel of Mullins, SC; best aunt: Pearl Washington of Lake City, SC and host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
