On December 7, 2018 Agnes R. Smith transitioned from this world and entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord
Agnes was born on Tuesday, February 15, 1921 to the late Ethel and Rembert Reaves, Sr. She attended the public schools of Mullins, SC and later met and married the late Mr. Phillip Smith, Sr. From this union came forth five kids and of that three preceded her in death: Tina Mae Pressley, Phillip Smith, Jr., and Ronald J. Smith. She was a lifetime member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Agnes was preceded in death by her three brothers: Rembert Reaves, Jr., Emmitt Reaves and Eugene Reaves.
Agnes, affectionately known as, “Aggie”, “Aiddie”, “Muh” leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters: Mildred (Jerry) Fryson of Mullins, SC and Joyce (Larry) Merritt of Pleasantville, NJ; twenty-three grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers and staff at the Mullins Nursing Home.
