Mrs. Vivian Grant Davis was born on September 5, 1932 to the late John and Retha Howard Grant. She departed this earthly life on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
Vivian was educated in the public schools of Marion County. She retired from So-Pak-Co in 1994 after working for many years. She was a faithful member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
Vivian was later married to William “Bill” Davis who preceded her in death.
Affectionately known to many as “Nanny”, she was a motherly figure that touched the hearts of family and friends. Her pride and joy is the legacy she leaves behind, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her undeniable strength and faith in God will forever be an example for them to emulate.
Vivian is survived by two daughters: Marcia Davis and Judy Dreher of Mullins, SC; one sister: Annie Mae Richardson of Mullins, SC; four grandchildren: Keyla Davis-Gilliard (Chip) of Yorktown, VA, Latorya Davis of Florence, SC, Myah Davis-Smith and Branden Davis of Mullins, SC; four great grandchildren: Jordan “Lil Willy” Gilliard, Jayla “Mama Duck” Gilliard and Justice “Scoonie” Gilliard all of Yorktown, VA and Aliyah “Liyah” Smith of Mullins, SC. She raised her deceased sister Margaret’s children: Marco and Terry Moore both of Maryland.
Special acknowledgements: Willa Mae Jackson-Owens (step daughter), Maceo Phillips, Edelle Legette, Daisy Mae Smith and Dominique Reaves. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
