OBITUARY

Mr. Roger Lee Coombs, son of the late Mr. Rossie Lee Combs and Mrs. Madgie Ruth Combs was born and reared in Marion County. His earthly life ended on September 5, 2019 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, South Carolina.

Roger attended the Public Schools of Marion County, graduate of Marion High School, Class of 1985.  After completing high school, he began to work at Mullins Motors in Mullins, SC detailing cars.  His future held many unknowns, which came into reality as he grew and matured. He accomplished and fulfilled the dream and attended college in North Carolina to become a truck driver.

In his young adult life, he became a skillful and very proficient truck driver, always doing an outstanding job and never missed an appointment. Roger was currently employed with Lewis Truck Lines Incorporated in Conway, South Carolina. He has been driving over thirty-five years and only had one accident and tickets. A loyal member of the Immortal Skullz Motorcycle Club.

On March 3, 2001, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Mrs. Sandra Evans Coombs.  The family was blended with two sons and two daughters. The children became a beautiful mix in life where each child served an important role and unique beauty.

God saw you getting weary, so He did what He knew best.  He came and stood   beside you and whispered, come and rest.  Reflections of so many wonderful thoughts and loving memories will be cherished by his wife, Mrs. Sandra Coombs of the home, Florence, SC; his children: Roger (Bianca) Green, Latta, SC, Ratavian(Amanda) Combs, Dillon, SC, Raven Combs, Marion, SC, Shakeya McClintock, Florence, SC; four beautiful grandchildren:  Rion, Ratavian Jr., Paige, and Ryleigh; four beautiful sisters: Ruthie Mae Combs, Griffin, GA, Shelly Ann Combs(deceased), Shan (Gerroid)    Boston, Griffin, GA, Sylvia Combs Matthews, Griffin, GA., Diane Combs, Griffin, GA, two brothers-in-law: Thurman (Marietta) Evans, Duncan, SC and Willie James (Sandra) Jones, Spartanburg, SC; one goddaughter: Keirstin Woodberry; two loyal faithful cousins: Chucky Jordan and George Washington, three dedicated friends:

Billy Hughes, Levonne Evans and Johann Pauley; and a host of aunts, uncles, 

nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
