Mary Reaves

Mary Edna Reaves entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on October 19, 2018 at Marion County Medical Center in Mullins, SC. 

Mary was born February 23, 1935 in Fairmont, NC.  She was one of eight children to the late Mr. Don and Mary Mclean.

She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Willie Lee (Bill) Reaves.  She was a dedicated employee of Marvel Lamp and retired after working over 35 years.  Mary never met a stranger and greeted everyone with her bright smile. She effortlessly provided a foundation for everyone that needed her. She was a member of the New Covenant Church of Christ in Mullins, SC. Often the first to open the church doors, she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord. You could hear her say often “heaven sweet name!”, and from her last call the Lord answered.

Mary is preceded in death by her loving father: Mr. Don Mclean; loving mother: Mary Mclean; one brother: Douglass Worley; one sister: Donnie Bell Long.

Those left to Cherish her fond and loving memories include:  Seven sisters: Emma R Staggers, Martha Ray Reaves both of  Mullins SC, Willie Belle (James) Rabb of Walterboro, SC, Charlotte (Floyd) Harvey, Marcy Lee Clark both of Winston Salem, NC, Carolyn Bethea, Maryland Maxwell both of West Palm Beach, FL.

Five daughters: Sharon Brown of NC, Jacqueline (Clyde) Thomas of MN, Willie Mae “Sister” Reaves, Betty Toson, and Valentina Cotton all of SC.

Four granddaughters: Bridgette Washington, Lea Siddle both of NC, Belinda Reaves of MN, Shawna Toson of SC.

Five Grandsons: Willie (Ebony) Reaves, Micheal Reaves, Ronald Lee (Matia) Reaves, Gregory Toson, Benard Reaves all of SC.

19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and frenids.

Please join the family at New Covenant Church of Christ located on 415 Barnes Street, Mullins, SC 29574 following burial.
