Lannie Rowell

~ The Obituary ~

     Mrs. Lannie E. Owens Rowell departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 27 at Carolinas Hospital System located in Mullins, South Carolina.

     She was the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Owens and Mrs. Flossie Cribb Owens.

     She was born April 7, 1936 in Mullins, South Carolina. She attended the Mullins School System and retired after 30 plus years of service from Heligi Meyers in Dillon, South Carolina. She was a faithful member of Old Field Baptist Church located in Mullins, South Carolina. She was a loving, kind, out spoken, giving person who didn’t meet any strangers.

     She was the fourth child of five children. Two brothers preceded her in death: Charlie Owens, Jr. of Mullins and Nathaniel Owens of Mullins. Also a daughter, Emma Jean Evans of Syracuse, New York.

     She leaves to cherish two sisters: Elizabeth Owens Ware of Mullins, South Carolina, Lula Owens Gerald of Mullins, South Carolina and one daughter: Harristeen White of Syracuse, New York; eight grandchildren, fifteen plus great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
