Dorothy Genwright

~ The Obituary ~

     Dorothy Ann “Dot” Genwright, the daughter of the late Willie and Rovena Small, was born October 29, 1953 in Marion, South Carolina. She departed this life on November 5, 2018 at Carolinas Hospital, Marion, South Carolina.

     She was educated in Horry County Public Schools. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Richard Genwright. “Dot” was a devoted and faithful member at Nazerene Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an “Honorary” choir member. The things she loved to do was sing, dance, read her bible and don’t forget her Mountain Dew. “Dot” was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her. She was a people’s person that never met a stranger.

     She leaves to cherish fond memories, one son: Eric (Alicia) Small, Little River, SC; one daughter: Barbara Ann Genwright, Conway, SC; a special aunt: Inez Green, Mullins, SC; three sisters: Joyce (Melvin) Blakely, Pleasant View, SC; Linda Small, Mullins, SC and Gloria Small, Green Sea, SC; one brother preceded her in death: Johnny Small; six grandkids: Tyrek, Tameka, Tobias, Jamil, Malaysia, Maryah; one aunt: Sarah White; two nieces; four nieces; four nephews and a host of special cousins and friends.
