~ The Obituary ~

 In his divine wisdom, early Tuesday morning, October 29, 2019, the Lord called Donella Darbyhome form labor to her heavenly reward.

Donella was born July 17, 1953 to the late Louise Williams and the late Charlie Riggins in Brunswick, Georgia. She attended Palmetto High School. 

Donella married the late Russell Darby and to this union two children were born. Donellalater moved to Washington, DC making it her home.

Donella was preceded in death by her husband: Russell Darby; her mother: Louise Williams; her father: Charlie Riggins; her mother-in-law: Myrtle Darby; her sisters: Charlie Ann Roberts, Clara B. Thornton, Beatrice Roberts, Flora Mae Samuels; her brothers: R. J. Roberts, Byron Riggins, Danny Riggins, Johnny Roberts; her grandson: Amari Elliott; her nephews: David Isreal, Andre Fabre; brother-in-law; Richard Darby.

Donella leaves to cherish her fond memories, her loving and devoted children, three sons: Anthony Riggins of Mullins, SC, George Elliott, Jr. of Lima, OH and Donnell (Takea) of Clinton, MD; two daughters: Tammi Darby of Oxon Hill, MD, Keisha (Don) Smith of Oxon Hill, MD; her grandchildren: Sequan Darby, Jamal Elliott, Taliyah Hughes, Donnell Burke, Jr. and Ashanti Elliott; her great grandchildren: Saquan Darby, Jr., Kelsey Miles; her sisters: Ruby Alston of Seat Pleasant, MD and Colleen Samuels of Mullins, SC; her twin brother: Donald Riggins of Topeka, KS; special friends; Tawanda Johnson, Donna McCant, Alberta Solomon and Janet Waddell and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
