Annie Ruth Pugh Odom was born on May 21, 1930 to the late Rev. Willie & Ethel Harvey Pugh in Fairmont, North Carolina. She departed her life on January 30, 2018 and is now resting in our Father’s arms.
Her parents had nine children: Willie Pugh, Mavis Fullwood, Robert Pugh, Milton Pugh, Edward Pugh, Curtis Pugh, Geneva Pugh, Marie Hoody, and Annie Ruth Pugh.
She attended and graduated in the Brunswick County School System.
Annie Ruth was married to the late Johnny F. Odom and to this union was born three children: Cynthia, Montana and Medea. Montana died shortly after birth.
Annie Ruth joined Saint Paul Baptist Church and was a member of the Young Women Auxiliary, YWA.
She always has a love and concern for other people. Her soul will forever live in boundless measure of the love she showered to others.
She leaves to cherish her two daughters: Cynthia Y. Odom and Medea Odom Galloway of Elgin, SC; two surviving siblings, Marie Hoody of California and Robert Pugh of North Carolina and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
