Luther Manning Obituary

~ Life Reflection ~

Psalm 55:22 “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.”

Luther J. Manning was born to the late Lacy & Mattie McClellan Manning on November 16, 1950 in Dillon County, South Carolina. He was reared in the community of Fork, South Carolina.

Luther was converted at an early age and became a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Fork, South Carolina.

Luther also known as “Buster” to his South Carolina family graduated from Columbus High School in Lake View, South Carolina before moving to New York in the late 60’s.

Luther was joined in holy matrimony to the former Victoria Blow on June 24, 1994. Their love was shared with three daughters and one son.

After his retirement Luther moved back with the love of his life Victoria. He rejoined Pleasant Hill along with his wife Victoria.

Luther departed this life on May 30, 2018 at the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings, George Clark, Wilbert Clark and Stacey Manning and one grandchild Denasha Victoria Blow.

Luther leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving and devoted wife, Victoria of the home, his children, Cynthia (Lance) Dyer, Gwendolyn Blow from New Bern, NC; Kevin Blow and Samantha Slade of Brooklyn, NY; one brother: Jerome Manning; four sisters: Carry Manning, Linda Bell, Mary (Michael) Bredell all of Fayetteville, NC; Sylvia (Edward) Ford of Gastonia, NC; three sisters-in-law: Ida Clark of Fork, SC, Brenda Clark of Latta, SC and Marie Scott of Brooklyn, NY; one brother-in-law: Raymond Slade of Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren: Kaliesha Banks, Corrine Canay Dyer, Elijah Darius Blow and Cyrell Keon Dyer; two great granddaughters: Ka’Riena Tracy Moore and La’Mara Camille Terry; one uncle: Raymond McClellan; three aunts Emma Jackson, Bertha Williams and Annie McClellan. Luther also leaves a host of several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
