Sylvia Worley

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

Sylvia Kate Worley (Fore) was born on May 11, 1949 in Marion County, SC to loving parents Edgar and Tat Worley. She departed this life on May 13, 2016 in Penns Grove, NJ after a recent illness.

Sylvia Kate graduated in 1966 from Columbus High School in Lake View, SC. She was very active on the basketball team and other sports. She later continued her education learning additional trades and taking some college courses. After graduating high school she relocated to Philadelphia, PA for a short time then to Newark, NJ for several years and finally Penns Grove, NJ for the past 33 years. During that time, she married in December of 1970 and had four children.

Sylvia Kate worked most of her life. She helped share-crop as a youth, drove school buses and was a waitress as a young woman. She settled into a career with PSE&G for many years but her finest jobs were being a loving mother, daughter and sister.

Those who know Sylvia Kate would say that she was a very thoughtful human being. She cared about people in general and would share what she knew if she thought it could help them. She was selfless. Her faith and love of the Lord was always present.

Sylvia Kate was the last to pass of her siblings and parents. Preceding her in order of death: sister Rosa Lee; brother Bobby Clarence; father Edgar; mother Tat; brothers Archie Boy and Willie Boy and very recently her sister Mary Kate.

Sylvia’s legacy will be carried on by her daughters, Cassonya (Sonya) of Penns Grove, NJ; Sanjeannetta (Sandy) of East Orange, NJ; her sons, Willie (Atonia) of Bloomfield, NJ; Anthony of Hamilton, OH and her former husband Willie B. Fore of Newark, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Breania, Jemila, Desmen, Dejia, Jiyah and Bahad; as well as a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
