~ The Obituary ~
Randolph L. Hunter, who we affectionately call Randy, was born on August 5, 1958, in Mullins, South Carolina. He was the eighth of nine children born to the late George Hunter and Jannie Cooper Hunter. He received his early education from Marion County Public Schools, graduating from Mullins High School in 1977. He graduated from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. While at FSU, Randy pledged Grove Phi Groove Fraternity.
Later in life Randy was baptized and received The Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Randy served his country in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne and was later honorably discharged. He was employed by UPS, The Swift Company and Fed Ex for years before his health began to decline.
Randy enter into eternal rest on September 30, 2017 in a Fayetteville, North Carolina Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents: George Hunter and Jannie Cooper Hunter; sister: Earnestine Hunter Terry and brother: James Albert Hunter (Cheeter).
He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy to his children: Eric Floyd of New Castle, DE; and daughter: Yakita Hunter of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Taylor Floyd and Jaden Floyd; six siblings: Billy (Lillian) Hunter and George (Ella) Hunter both of Mullins, SC, Vena Hutton of New York, Willie Mae (Donald) Washington, Gloria (Ernest) Hendley of Quinby, SC and Sylvia (Tony) Parham of Charlotte, NC; a very special brother-in-law: Wesley Terry of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
