Mary Moore

 The Lord is my light and my Salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life whom shall I be afraid?                                     Psalm 27

     Mrs. Mary Alice Fleming Moore departed her earthly life on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Carolinas Hospital System, Florence, SC after a brief illness.

     Mary was born on August 16, 1942. She was the beloved daughter of the late J.P. and Florene Woodberry and raised by her late grandmother Mrs. Lovenia Davis.

     Mary joined Bethel AME Church and attended until her health began to fail. She accepted Christ at an early age.

     Mary Alice liked to joke with people. She could make you laugh even if you were sad. She liked to hit you while she talking to make sure you were listening. She had a very unique laugh. She was a loveable person.

     Mary was preceded in death by two sisters: Jane Willis and Flora Mae Davis; and a daughter Karen Moore.

     Mary is survived by her daughter, Sheila Nicholson of the home; husband: Kelly Moore of Johnsonville, SC; a sister: Ernestine (Nathaniel) Moore of Britton’s Neck, SC; a brother: Charles Woodberry of Georgetown, SC; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Joe and Joanna Moore of Britton’s Neck, SC and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
