Mary R Legette

     Mary Rosabell Leggette was born on April 30, 1913 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Laura Woodberry and Mr. Gatlin Eaddy. Mary Leggette had three brothers and one sister whom preceded her to the grave. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Ted Leggette. This union was blessed with eight children.

     Mary enjoyed farming, running small businesses and caring for her family. She was a dedicated member of Jerusalem African Methodist Episcopal Church of Hemingway, SC. She was a joyous person who loved every precious minute of life. God saw she was growing tired and weary so he called her home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.

     She leaves to cherish sweet memories; five children; two daughters: Mrs. Carritha Davis and Claudia Sessions of Hemingway, SC; three sons: Octagen Leggette, Freddie Leggette and Hasper Leggette of Youngstown, OH; three sons who preceded her in death: Billy-Joe Leggette, Andrew-Lee Leggette and Jerry Leggette; a special grandson: James Leggette of Hemingway, SC. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
