~ Obituary ~

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.”        Psalm 23:1

     On Thursday, December 22, 2016, Lee Grant Frieson departed this earthly life and entered into the heavenly realm.

     He was born March 1, 1955 to Sis. Edna Lee Smith and the late W.C. Lane in Dillon, South Carolina.

     He attended the public schools in Dillon and Marion Counties. He joined the National Guard, serving as a marksman.

     He was married to Gloria Jean Bell. To this union one son, Robert, was born. During his early years, he worked in Washington, DC as a custodian and in New York as a landscaper.

     Upon returning to Mullins, Lee Grant worked in construction until his health failed.

     Lee Grant joined Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church in 2007 where he became a baptized born again believer.

     Lee Grant is now with his sister, the late Sandra Frieson. He leaves to cherish fond memories his mother Edna Smith; his son: Robert (Carlene) Frieson; nine grandchildren; three aunts: Rev. Elizabeth Swinton, Gracie Davis of Mullins, SC and Mary Revis of Columbia, SC; five uncles: Willie (Winnie) McClain, Roosevelt (Leola) McClain, Albert (Betty) McClain, Andrew (Cynthia) McClain of Mullins, SC and Charles McClain of Ashville, NC; one great uncle: Jessie Johnson of Latta, SC; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and a very special friend Henry Thompson.

God sent Lee Grant an angel in the form of Bro. Henry Thompson. Thank you so much for all your kind deeds towards my son.
